How does digitalization proceed in an industrial mid cap company?
The FIIF event with Intelligent Industry ecosystem provided IoT insights from industrial companies. Intelligent Industry (II) is an innovative ecosystem connecting leading Finnish equipment manufacturers and providers of digital solutions to drive and realize the immense opportunities of the emerging new era of Intelligent Industry. Communications Director Nea Kontoniemi from HT Laser Oy gave examples of digitalization of the industrial mid cap company. She pointed out that process moves on three basic fronts: new business models and products, improving current customer services and experiences and intensifying operative functions of the company. For example in digitalizing financial administration processes the development has moved in 20 years from ERP systems to ERP integrations with strategic client companies and it is now at the point of sharing value-adding data in value chain, account based customer data and pricing with the help of automatization and AI.
