FIIF Event: Industrial Automation (May 7th, Tampere and online)

FIIF Event: Industrial Automation, May 7th, 2026, 9.30-12.30, Tampere (Platform 6, Åkerlundinkatu 8) The FIIF Event on Industrial Automation will be organized in co-operation with the Finnish Automation Society and will focus on key topics in industrial automation. The event will feature insightful presentations from both industry and research, covering various aspects of industrial automation, including OPC UA.

AI and OPC UA are increasingly converging in interesting ways. OPC UA and AI together enable more intelligent industrial systems. OPC UA provides standardized, secure, and semantically rich access to industrial data, while AI enables advanced analytics, prediction, and decision-making. Together, they make it easier to develop scalable applications such as digital twins, predictive maintenance, and process optimization. This convergence reduces integration effort and accelerates the adoption of data-driven industrial solutions.
