FIIF Event with knowlEdge: AI for Manufacturing (March 14, 10-13.30, Tampere and online)
FIIF Event with knowlEdge: AI for Manufacturing (March 14, 10-13.30 (EET/UTC+2), Tampere, Platform6 (Åkerlundinkatu 8) and online)
Artificial Intelligence is a key component in the fourth industrial revolution changing the way we live and work. However, complex technologies and lack of skilled talent are hindering us to fully leverage its potential to increase product quality and business sustainability. In this FIIF event we will hear key results from the three-year, EU-funded knowlEdge project, which will complete its operations at the end of March 2024.
The project aimed to address the need for new AI solutions for the manufacturing industry that are agile, reusable, distributed, scalable, accountable, secure, standardized, and collaborative. It developed a framework that optimizes different stages of production by utilizing the common inter-company infrastructure. The framework also ensures secure management of distributed data and facilitates effective knowledge exchange.
The project has validated its results with three use cases, addressing different sectors of the manufacturing industry.
Parmalat: Process optimisation using digital twin (milk and dairy products)
Bonfiglioli: Zero-defect manufacturing (planetary gearboxes)
Kautex: Anomaly detection (plastic parts to automotive OEMs)
